There is a big line up this year of fine musicians like Lowell "Banana" Levinger of The Youngbloods, Josh Reynolds, son of Nick Reynolds of the Kingston Trio, Myshkin, The Renegade String Band, The Wanderers, Spider Murphy and many others...will all be participating in a four day tenor guitar weekend, where any instrument tuned in fifths, or anyone, really, is welcome to come and enjoy all the fun live music, beautiful location, great food, fun music. AN EVENING OF TENOR GUITARS is only $15, and four workshops, a total of six hours, is only $60. We want you to spnd your money on beer and food and have fun, so we keep the cost reasonable enough to make sure you have enough gas money to get there. I grew up in Atlantic City, New Jersey and heard the Philadelphia Mummers Day Parade on New Years Day on TV. Loved the sound of all those marching tenor banjos. Bought a tenor banjo and a Mel Bay chord book. Jump ahead 40 years....I put together a tenor guitar gathering in Astoria, Oregon which attracts people who play tenor guitar as well as tenor banjo, both tuned CGDA.
