I have been playing clawhammer banjo since I was eleven years old. I was taught by my great uncle, Grandpa Jones. I have won the Old Time Banjo National Championship at Uncle Dave Macon Days, three times (2000, 2002 and 2005). I started picking the guitar when I was 25 I try to play Mother Maybelle style and recently I have begun to learn Sam McGee's thumb-pickin' style.
