I'm excited to announce that the first-ever California Banjo Gathering (CBG) is scheduled to happen in Sacramento October 17-19th. As a Northern Californian myself, it's great to see some top-notch players lined up for a banjo-centric event in my area!

CALIFORNIA BANJO GATHERING - SATURDAY ONLY - Click Image to CloseHeadline talent include Mike Seeger, Sammy Shelor, Bill Keith, Mick Moloney, Buddy Wachter, Clarke Buehling, Peggy Seeger, Tim Weed, Gordy Ohliger, and Walt Koken. Pete Seeger is going to be joining us by live video conference from NY during Saturday's breakfast, and Good Day Sacramento plans to provide live coverage Saturday.

The CBG includes 3 days of workshops, audio visual presentations, banjo history, jam sessions and performances. It'll be capped off by a Sunday concert. Several registration packages are available (some including accomodations), or you can purchase general admission tickets to the concert.

If you're anywhere close, be sure to attend as this is shaping up to be a big event for the banjo!
