Did this one especially for Mama, her Birthday is next month so this is part of her present. Been wanting to record this for some time. Shes done more for me than this mere song can describe but i know she did everything in this song as did I. Secondly for my grandma who pass this year. Wish she was still here to hear it. Forgive the singing...and excuse the horrible mando playin but the song felt a lil naked without something more than guitar and banjer.

Recorded this on a new mic for the PC.. USB condensor mic i picked up from Best Buy for bout 90 bucks, does pretty good a lot clearer than the old webcam mic. On the Mutt 5string and the Blueridge BR140

By no ways a finished tune....my guitar player always asks me do i know it and somebody was pickin it at a jam last night so i picked up on some of it. Unfortunately nobody really knew it so it never materialized. Tryin to work it out though and having poor results finding a descent version online to listen to. If any of yall pick it then send it to me so i can listen at it and figure it out.

I've always loved this song, me singing doesnt do it justice ( i aint no Ricky Wasson by no means lol) but i thought id record it just to have some fun and pass the time. Tryin to figure out this singing thing, learning where my voice is and aint at. Messed round with some different positions for backup and stuff just noodlin...leave me some love people!

I've been picking all these tunes in this one for a while but my recent visit to Lil John's has set me on fire again. All i wanna do is pick. Listening to Charlie Cushman pick Sally Goodin with Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper blew my mind. Such an awesome group and Charlie is such a super nice guy. I figured I'd try it out with a lil Sally Ann and Cumberland Gap thrown in the mix

Was messing around last night in C-tuning and come up with a tune i thought was kinda pertyfied so i thought id sit down and record and share it with ya'll. Wanted to do a kinda mid-tempo song and break up this blistering full speed breakdowns. Not to mention C tuning on the banjo sounds so sweet. Going to call it Sara's Tune after the wifey. Hope you enjoy it.

A song off of Junior Sisk's Heart Of A Song album....I instantly loved this song when i heard it the singing and harmony on it are outstanding and Jason Davis provides absolute PERFECTION in banjo backup on it. I immediately put it before several members of the band that we learn and perform this song and all of them agreed. I then found out it was originally released by Keith Whitley And Ricky Skaggs....Keith being one of my favorite singers of all time possibley they best that didnt live to prove it. Here it is, chocked full of horrible singing and some half tail'ed banjo playin.

First recording of Silent Night. Ive been messing with this one for a few days and thought id record it. I flub it up around the C to F change.(Round yon virgin, mother and child) That F is a new chord for me and my fingers dont want to go to there respective places as they should. Its recognizable though.
