Instrumental version of a classic tune. Pretty standard with some improve inthe middle. I come from clawhammer and 2 finger so my playing has an old timey feel i think. G-Tuning on my new Gibson

Eastern Kentucky tune often heard by George Gibson and Clifton Hicks. My version is more Sand Mountain than E. Kentucky, but its one of my favorites. Key of G, WL banjo, very little drop thumb

Pretty straight forward bluesy version of this song. I play resonator guitar, archtop banjo and sing on this track. Inspired by a version by Jimmy Arnold and testing some new recording gear.

Clawhammer version on Lee Sextons version of Shady Grove on a flush fret i built. The tuning is Sawmill with the 5th dropped to F. If you havent heard Lee or Morgan Sexton you should do yourself a favor and seek out there music.

A sound file recording I did for a customer of a Vega Style F conversion I recently completed. I meant to show the versatility of these old Vegas from the 30s and how well they worked for many different styles. 1 bluegrass-y version of lonesome road blues w picks on/ 2 frailing version of cripple creek/ 3 drop thumb clawhammer version of undone in sorrow by olla belle reed/4 and a syncopated 2 finger thumb lead medley I came up with on the fly.
