The original fingerboard appears to be dyed maple, with the dye worn off by a LOT of chording, so I daubed it with leather dye from my shoeshine kit.

Many 19th Century photos, including those of banjoists, were reversed for some reason, making many look left-handed. You're just emulating the 19th Century!

Great job and it sounds incredible. Thanks for keeping up with me and sharing it. Nothing better than seeing something that was apparently played a LOT put back into working condition and making music again.
