Oh, yes, Littlestone is on the opposite side of the Marsh from here. That field between the trees is currently stuffed FULL of little lambs, as far as the eye can see. Hopping around all full of themselves. I love this time of year.

Well done, Tom! The Disney version was filmed on location here, too. We just heard this week they're going to begin filming a new one soon. Good for the local economy, don'tcha know.

Fiction, totally -- but ol' Walt presented it as fact in his introduction. The books are quite fun and nasty, in the way old fashioned boys' bloodthirsty pirate books are. Although this whole area genuinely has a long and intense history of smuggling due to its wildness and proximity to the Continent (they used to store contraband brandy under the high altar at St Mary's in Rye). These days, it's more likely to be cocaine, but it's still going on. They made a big drug bust last year in the parking lot of a pub called -- I kiddeth thee not -- The Smuggler.

The Disney version was Patrick McGoohan (dude from The Prisoner), but there have been a lot of dramatizations.
