Back in 99 was at a warbird convention and show and was fortunate enough to get a check ride and type rating in this beauty. Spent 4 days flying this lady. Bad part is you cannot go out and rent one and I will never have enough money to own one, so at least it looks good in the log book and I can say I flown the best Aircraft ever built for 15 hrs

Bet she's FAST! ,Ill bet the G force to a normal person woulda been unbearable with you at the stick..LOL. I saw a few at Right Patterson AFB in OH. They are beautys!

Very envious I am! Checked out flying in a P51 at Stallion 51 in Kissimmee some years back, but it was just a bit too expensive - couple of grand () for an hour. I was tempted. It's on my list too...Spit really, but they're like hen's teeth, but a Mustang would do very nicely :)

I also checked out Kissimmee and thought the same thing. This just happened to fall into my lap I was in the right place at the right time and happenedto have just met Frank Borman (Apollo 8) and ran into someone else and on and on until it happened
