original 1930s Ward (Gibson) one piece potmetal flange. notice its a mastertone style on this meager banjo. not sure wither the plating was nickel or i hear some were chrome. It was a beut sadly i sold it to finance the conversion. replaced with a saga because of the 10 3\4" lower id., few fit properly.
