hi bob
i`ve just realised after looking at you lovely plectrum neck that the inlays are identical to the Leader model there superb and the instrument looks in fantastic condition, they sound wonderful with a clear head on them, a true classic banjo

That inlay pattern was common to the Style B (Maple, before 1924), The Leader and the Aristocrat. I call the pattern "Bellflower", for reasons that should be clear. On Paramount Leaders and Aristocrats, the pearl inlays were engraved. On the early Style B's they were not. The Leader and Aristocrat were introduced after 1923. Around the same time Lange introduced a new Paramount Style B model made of Walnut with a simplified inlay pattern. The Walnut Style B version is much more common than the earlier and fancier Maple Style B Paramounts.
