looks different than I expected but I know that titanium is an impressive metal.. I find the wood tone ring works good when jamming indoors but outdoors I'd like a little more cut.. considering this as an option.

This would give it exactly that. It is more than just sending you the metal. We fit the hoop to another ring and swap out. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Do you still use the ball bearings with the titanium hoop? If I already have the nechville wood tone ring can I just buy the hoop to put on it?

Hi Debbie,

Yes, still use the bearings. You exchange the wood ring for the Titanium TT as it is fitted snugly.

But it looks like the titanium fits right on the wood ring. So I couldn't just get the titanium and put it on my wood ring? I'd have to send it back to you all to get you to put the titanium ring on it? Will that give me a fuller and brighter sound to the banjo, more like a metal tonering banjo?

You purchase the titanium + Timbr ring, you send your old ring back and we refund you the difference. Its an exchange.

I see. So it's not the kind of thing where you can just swap it in and out. Hmmm ... so to be able to go back and forth between the woodier sound and the metallic, you'd need to buy the whole new Timbr + TT and keep your old Timbr? Would that just be the combined prices of the two as shown on the Nechville site?

The hoop is fitted to the ring. Ring + hoop=600. You can trade in old home for 350 credit.
