I hope this will come in as a reasonable size. It's a shot of my table with a cross-slide for going inside a rim (or, a practice round, in this case) and a drill press cross slide for working on the outside of the rim. I ditched this and got a larger and more accurate drill-press slide that works great. No tool blocks or toolbits required. I use sharpened old files. So far so good.

I hope this will come in at a reasonable size. It looks ok when I preview it. I use a true cross-slide for doing
the inside of rims, or in this case, the practice "round" that is in the foreground. It's derivative of a banjo rim, but is deeper. I send 'em to the grandkids. No idea what they do with them. :o) In this shot I had a small drillpress cross-slide which I've since replaced with a larger and more accurate one. It works great, and I can use sharpened old files for toolkits. They seem to cut well enough. It's all mounted on a double thickness of laminated particle board which is very stable.
