This is one of the thimbles I play banjo with. Tony Sullivan makes these and sends them to me from England. This style of banjo playing originated with the Tinkers in Ireland.

When i used to meet up with Johnny Keenan every year (RIP) he always played with the thimble, not too many now playing that way.

Johnny and Sully did an album together called Dublin Banjos, which is a must have. You probably already have it, but if not you can find it on Amazon or Sully's web site.
