I took this picture of Paul's old mastertone on my livingroom sofa. I have some more pictures on my homepage and will be adding more when the weather gets better and can be outside. When I got
the banjo the gold plating was in pretty rough shape and I spent 2 months with the disassembly and clean up. I replaced a few wrong or damaged parts and now have it back together and am playing it.
The "sofa" picture was taken the day I brought it home in November and before "clean-up". The head
was signed by "Dr. Ralph Stanley". It's the twin to the one used by Stanley in his early years!
