A close-up of the frog motif peghead. This is a 6-string banjo, the extra string is a low bass, so there are 5 on the peghead. The pegs are "pegheds" planetary geared tuners, designed to look like ebony friction pegs but with internal gearing. The peghead is painted and finished to have the look of an antique toy.
