Ok, so help me out here. This is a Gibson-made copy of the Mack Crow, that they made at the request of Jim Mills? How did you acquire this thing? Dean

Hey Dean,
I really liked Jim's Mack Crow 75, so I contacted Janet Davis about ordering a custom 75 just like that from Gibson. She helped me order it and Gibson made this one as a custom banjo for me. This was back in 2003. Jim told me they had the specs of his old 75 and made this one according to those specs. Janet said Gibson liked the way it turned out so well, they used it as a prototype for the Blackjack, with slightly different appointments for JD Crowe. It is an awesome banjo and it sounds better all the time. It has the V-neck, old style 75 inlays, old style 6 tone ring, and a bella voce tailpiece. Thanks for asking about it.
Ben
