You might want to ask your question on the building forum. It gets more reads than the blogs and someone might be able to tell you where you could purchase a new tail piece or the name of a luthier that might fix it for you.
The forums are located on the left hand side of the page. Under forums, click forum home. Scroll to appropriate forum and click on it. Then in uppper right hand side, click on post new topic. Give your topic a subject, ask your question(s) and, if you wish to add your pictures, click on add content located in the upper right hand side above the text and icons. Follow the very easy instructions for uploading the picture(s) to your post, click view to be sure that's what you wanted to do, then click submit new topic. Check back for answers.
