NAw it just  needs some very tender love and attention! What a challenge!
 JUNK , I dont think so.I do wonder tho  what  the maker had in mind  when building  such a thick pot.

I think he used what he had at hand. (I'll use "he" for convenience, but who knows? It might have been a she.) He cobbled it together out of chunks of what appear to be maple, cherry and walnut.  With staples, now loose. The neck--there is no fingerboard proper--shows signs of hard wear. There are mismatched, ill-placed frets, maybe added by a later owner. A local luthier I took it to didn't want to work on it because he said someone else had already bungled the job.

once you do get it in tune- you won't keep it on the wall for very long.
even if slightly out of tune- these fretless boucher's ar e a joy to play.

Sport, it's the Wallhanger, not the Boucher, that couldn't be gotten in tune.
