The more i look at it, the more i don't care to replace it. There is a magic here.
There is a spirit balance, feng shui, yin yang that somehow found its way, made its home in the center of this magical entity that is this banjo, and possesses this banjo to make such beautiful music. This strange tailpiece (circa 1940's), akin to a chrome dragonfly, landed upon the edge of the tinny metal rim, and in this banjo's long ship journey, it came to me. What a strange, magical Elton figurehead! Who am I to tell it to leave its perch of banjo nest? Dare I risk, dare I risk disrupting this potentially delicate balance? Dare I?
