Found another pic of Calvin and Dad with another bunch of boys. Calvin & Dad seemed to be the only ones who dressed for the occassion. Check out those ties! I guess it didn't matter what you wore on the radio! Just love these old pictures...real bluegrass trailblazers for sure. You have to remember bluegrass was not popular at all back then.It was called hick music or worse.You have to give them credit for just showing up I guess.

These are great photos. Just one small moment in history. I always wonder what is going through peoples thoughts in these old photos. They are obviously having a good time. What are we talking here.....early 50's? Thats pre Elvis, Beatles, Stones etc. Even before the great 57 Chevy. Must have been exciting times.
