A nice old Harmony. Looks like it may have a skin head? In the low dollar banjo category, these are some of the best. I love them. They play well, last forever and best of all, they have a simple and foolproof system for adjusting the action.

Yes, I believe it's a skin head. Forgive my ignorance, but what is the system for adjusting the action?
My cat seems to find the sound of the banjo soothing, which is a nice ego boost!
