I could listen to these O'Carolan songs you have uploaded all day long. These are all great. What fun it must to perform in this musical group.

Thanks, Linda. We did have a wonderful time with the music. We performed as a band for 12 years until we lost our guitar player, David Behm, to lung cancer. Although the band no longer exists, those of us remaining still play together in different combinations every so often. There are two O'Carolan Festivals in Ireland. If you get a chance to to either one, you'll have a great time. One is in Nobber, Co. Meath where Carolan was born and the other is in Keadue, Co. Roscommon, where, after all his wanderings, he died. The Angel Band was featured at both these festivals and we played the Nobber Festival twice. There's an O Carolan Festival in Worcester, Vermont in June. As far as I know, it's the only Carolan festival in the U.S.

Bob, thanks for the info about the festival in VT, and also the two in Ireland. My husband, son and I were in England and Scotland for a couple of weeks back in 2001 but haven't been to Ireland, although we have talked many times about going. Going when there is a Carolan festival would be great timing. I'll definitely put this on my travel wish list. Thanks so much!
