I'm glad that you clarified in the lyrics that we should have lunch WITH our cats. Many years ago a certain asian restaurant in the Wilkes Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania that I liked was closed down by the state health department for serving cat AS the meal. I still have trouble wrapping my mind around that, and yet I wonder...

Meow. I enjoyed this one Steve. Thanks. I still can't figure out how you can come up these these so readily. That is certainly a talent!

I'm laughing out loud. This is a good one Steve! Fortunatly for me, I have not gotten to that point yet, where I have to dine out with a cat. Rita will still go out with me, although she wears dark glasses so knowone recognizes her.
I had a neighbor a few years back. He had over 100 cats, and he couldn't afford to spay or neuter them. He cured me for life! I will never get a cat.

"Sometimes life has a sense a humor, when life is not knocking ya flat, if you're having a crappy day, drive your troubles away, and go have lunch with your cat." Amen. Well, old Fred has been a good cat for all his 17 years, so for awhile now I've let him eat dinner with me every night. Actually, he stands patiently on one of the chairs through the whole meal, his little eyes and ears just poking up over the edge of the table, watching and waiting. Then, after I'm done, I get up and turn my back, pretending I'm not paying any attention, and he jumps up and licks the plate clean. It's a nightly ritual. Fred saw all of us thorugh some hard times, so I figure I owe him.
That song's a goodun, Steve. Well done. Greg, when Fred goes, which I don't think will be too long now, I don't think I'll get another, either. It would be like getting another woman.

That bought a smile to my face.
I have two of the mousers and hubby feeds one of them ice cream! That's his treat, and I think my husband gets as much enjoyment out of it as the cat.
