Hi there-I learned this tune about 30 years ago from Jere and Greg Canote from a tape they had of many wonderful tunes. I have only  met a few people over the years who play it. It is a lovely tune-My a part is slightly different. I will try to post my "version" soon. Have fun! Great Playing!

Thanks. I'm still on the trail trying to learn the history of the tune. No luck so far.

I'm on the WL-250, capoed up to double-D.

I only heard the tune first this July, but it stuck with me, and I used it in a play for which I provided background music. That meant that (unlike usual) I actually practiced!

Your music page is becoming a source for tunes! Billy knows this one but he has not pulled it on me yet so look-out maybe I can surprise him, that's if I can fit it in to my schedule of too many tunes to learn in too short of time. Thanks for sharing.

This tune is being compared to Adam Hurt's version of Big Liza Jane, which is like Kyle Creed's Big Liza. I'm trying to get this straightened in my head and attempt a TOTW this summer on one of the other many Liza Janes. Banjo Judy did this one back in 2010. Have you discovered more about it, Erich, since you posted this several years ago?
