The first phrase sounds like a break; after that I don't hear the melody, just a roll in the chord. You started fine, now work on bringing out the melody notes in the rest of the break.

Hi and thanks for the comments. Richard, i appreciate what you said but I don't know about the band part, that takes a lot more time and effort than I can give.

Bill, when you say first phrase, do you mean the first time I played it through, first measure of g, first 4 measures, exactly how far in if you don't mind.

I disagree with Bill Rogers...you played bare bones melody throughout with great timing, but even more impressive is your note separation. Great work...I would suggest some Crowe licks to punch up your melody a little. Watch this video for some ideas...

I think it sounds good. I just learned the song 9 Pound Hammer about 3 weeks ago and im only into playing about 10 months now so u know im not to good yet. I need to record myself to see if i can hear the distinct melody in my playing. Keep postin please i would like to hear more of your music.
