Very astute guess! Now, it happens to be incorrect, but that only proves that when people think they can discern the difference between 1 & 2 piece flanges they would be well-advised *not* to put their money where their opinions are! Banjo #2 is a 2-piece flange with Blaylock conversion ring style four.

Hi Julio -
I picked the first cut as the 1-piece flange, and the second as the 2-piece flange.
So... which banjo do I win? ;-)
Both are good sounding banjos, though. I thought #2 had a bit more high-end. #1 a bit more bottom. (And that's what I would tend to expect...)
