I was thinking the other day that there are many blues songs written about mood-altering substances like alcohol and cocaine; there are none, however, about the demon caffeine. I wrote this one; it is played on the long-neck banjo and 12-string guitar.

Ha Ha I really like it. It describes me to a tee. Good tune, good playin".

"My Mister Coffee he is dead and gone, can't make my coffee to help my blues along." I used to be a ten cup a day man, now I'm down to 1 and 1/2. A fun song and a fine performance.

Thanks for the kind words. I have also cut back my consumption and am wise enough to know the power of caffeine. It was fun to take some of the blues cliches and turn them into something else.
