Nice rendering of a fine old tune, lots of real grasshopping feel to it, if that makes any sense. Lots of character to your playing.

Erich,
I sat down to learn this song last night from a book I got from the library with a ton of fiddle songs transcribed in it. It's the first fiddle tune I've learned from looking only at musical notation. I want to get better in that area, so I kind of forced myself to wade through learning it that way.
I looked up some versions on the hangout this morning and was thrilled to find yours to aid in my listening and learning this song. I really enjoyed it, and I think this is a mighty fine tune!
This is a great fiddle banjo duet. I'm looking forward to improving mine after listening to yours. I've still got a long way to go to clean it up on the fiddle.
