Demo of an older banjo, looks like a Buckbee in the style of Dobson. Small (9.5") pot, tuned 5 frets low. Fiddle also tuned low from D tuning.

I like it, especially the deep sound coming from that little tiny banjo pot.

Not believing that tone....I simply love it. What banjo should i be looking for to get this sound?

Bill (and Christine, belatedly)..... That's a small pot Buckbee. I can't reconstruct which one that was from memory, but I'm sure it had a skin head, Nylgut strings, and was tuned about 5 frets low. I think that the distinctive sound may be due to the low tuning. I think that low tuning sometimes sounds especially good with certain banjos, haven't figured out why or which banjos seem to like the low tuning.
