Real talent there Robert, never mind anyone else getting the chance to record it, you should have thrown it around the studios..! Great voice, tune, lyrics and guitar, a hit.

Hey David; as always, thanks for your kind words....actually, while in Florida back in the 1070s, I was interviewed by a representative from a recording studio in Nashville and they listened to a couple of my songs I had written and recorded but they wanted me to pay for having them recorded; my view of that was and is if they want you to pay then your song probably isn't good enough or it may be a scam...so I never pursued having anything recorded after that....it's very difficult to get into the recording business; there are so many really, really talented young people out there who never get discovered....I know they aren't looking for an 'ole guy like me to record an album or a single for them;-) but, I'm having fun on the blog and I appreciate those (you) who enjoy my playing and singing; it's fun; and I really enjoy your talent as well...Robert

Just put it on again this morning, great stuff. A real shame your voice never carried further for you, as you say though if a rep wanted you to pay them, they're probably going around taking money from a lot of hopefuls and making their living that way.

I think I saw some films about Elvis, Buddy Holly and then Johnny Cash who had to pay for their first cutting and posted it around all the studios until one of them took them on and put it on the radio. I suppose that was the only way to get heard back then.
