Did this for last year's 50 Songs In 90 Days online songwriting challenge. I did a vocal/guitar track, added banjo later. Might be my favorite song from last year's challenge. I've performed it on solo banjo, too. In eighth grade, I was assigned beryllium for a science report.

Well, I like the melody but the name "beryllium" kinda smacks the sentimentality or "tenderness" right out of the song! I guess in eighth grade you weren't focused on either of those emotions! Thanks for sharing.
