O'Carolan composed this in honor of the 4th Earl of Inchiquin, County Clare, Ireland. It sounds like a minuet until the second part, when O'Carolan's signature melody surprises are heard.

Beautifully done, Janet. Are you picking with three fingers?

Yes, 3 finger picking. I'm going to post my penciled tab onto the SoundOff! thread and you can see basically what I'm doing. I based it on the single note melody as noted in song #58 in Donal O'Sullivan's biography on Carolan song, the Chieftains' recording, and the tab by Ron Hughes of BHO, who has a Mel Bay publication on O'Carolan.

Very nicely played, Janet, elegant and expressive. You would have been a fine Irish harpist, unlike O'Carolan, who they say was a much finer composer than he was a musician.
