This is a fiddle tune I first learned in Memphis, TN about 25 years ago, and pull it out of the hat from time to time. It also goes by other names such as "Big Sandy River" and other similar variations. I just came across this recording in some unlabeled CDs of me picking. I am unsure when I recorded this, but I think it was probably in 2008 or 2009. This is just me picking banjo, and is my version of this cool fiddle tune. Enjoy :)

Great Monroe tune with Kenny Baker and Joe Stewart recording from 1962. Your melodic flow is wonderful. Must have been a challenge to learn!

Very nicely played, Frank, some really neat variations in there, well done. The pedal points, arpeggios, vamps, all very creative.
