This is one of the songs that I wrote... my playing is much sloppier than I would like, but here it is!

Didn't sound all that sloppy to me. It's nice to hear YOUR rendition of your song. Now you've got to post the others.

Why thank you my friend... I personally never seem to be happy with my playing, especially when it comes to a song that I have written... but I guess I'm just a perfectionist... thanks for listening and for the kind words!

I understand wanting your recordings to be as flawless as possible. But don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good (as the saying goes). For myself at least, I've found the process of recording myself & putting it out there to be a great motivation to improve. I think you'll find you get better with every post.

I had never heard that saying before, I like it. Good advice!

Daniyel,
This sounds great. Love the sound you get out of your banjo. I get frustrated with recording too. I find it distracts me just enough to keep me from settling into the tune. But that's just the way it is, I guess.

Thank you Dave for the compliments! :) Indeed, there is something very distracting about recording oneself, I think it is the pressure to not make a mistake that causes one to make the mistake, kind of like a trap... Reminds me of playing in front of other people, its that realization that you have to do it right that throws you off your game... at least for me, anyways... Take care and thanks for listening!
