My instrumental arrangement of the Vernon Dalhart song. This song only has an A part and a B part, so I usually don't play it for very long before I transition into something else.

Thanks, nice arrangement. An old friend's dad used to play it on their old phonograph when it first came out in the 20's. It's still a good jam song.

Thank you! I wish I knew what else to do with it; playing it alone, it doesn't really feel like it goes anywhere.

It's probably a good one to learn the words to, if you like to sing and consider going to that kind of a jam. If not, it's a good learning exercise for a "novice," and you can go on to another piece. When you come back to The Prisoner's Song you'll probably play it slightly differently, and that's all good learning.
