This is/was my idea for the song for my daughter and myself to walk down the aisle to at her wedding last Saturday (7/14/2012). I enlisted the help of several of my good friends. I played mandolin and guitar, Kenny Smith played guitar, Matt Combs played fiddle, and Mike Bubb played bass. The production may seem a bit weird but it had to be that way for the wedding party to come in. Ellie and I came in at the triple fiddle break. It was recorded at Digital Underground, Scott Vestal is the man! I wanted a venue for some people to hear it and here on the hangout is the best place I know. I'm also posting a song I wrote for the exit from the ceremony.

I love it! Please don't take this as a criticism - but I wish Scott would have done a banjo break ..... before reading your comments about the song I was hoping and hoping for a little banjo in there. It is beautiful! Phil

David, you've taken the simple, beloved Sunday school song we all learned as children and turned it into something so beautiful. I loved the way the melody and harmony lines of each instrument intermingled into a rich, lush musical landscape. Your daughter's special day will be all the more memorable, having been blessed by her daddy's playing. Wagner's traditional "Here Comes the Bride" may be nice, but it just doesn't say "Jesus Loves Me." Congrats to the bride and groom, and thanks for posting.

thanks guys. Scott and I talked about a banjo part but the thing I was hearing just wasn't fitting and Scott liked it the way it turned out. We are considering a remix on both and adding 8-10 more songs for a full project so maybe then
