Dom Flemmons plays Kerr's Nego Jig on the Carolina Chocolate Drops album "Leaving Eden". Dom uses a gourd banjo. I was inspired to learn this tune on my new gourd banjo. My banjo was built by Les Taylor, a local luthier who works out of his house. I provided the gourd and a banjo kit and he turned it into a work of art. I chose the following tuning for this piece: E - A - D - G - A The melody's range seems to fit the left hand very comfortably in this tuning. Please let me know what you think of this tune.
