Original tune I popped out, played on a Will Fielding Rooster banjo, tuned something ilke ebBbFAbC. I'm never sure how to name original tunes, but was just speaking with a friend about some upland game birds, thus it became The Covey.

Yes, I can get a sense of a covey of birds, hanging out in the brush and flying off together when startled. It's amazing how a title can do that. How did you come out with such a tuning? You have a talent for composing!

As a quail hunter I enjoyed it very much! I imagined the occasional 4th string was me shooting and missing.
