From Roscoe Parrish: I admired Bosco's fretless banjo version of this tune and he sent me several MP3s of a fiddle version, some more like Mr Parrish and some more like Linda Ornstein and Andy Cahan's "whiskey seller" where Bosco's banjo version comes from. All this sent me back to Roscoe Parrish, who only plays, as far as I know, a little snippet of the tune lasting less than a minute. This is my best take of what he was playing on the fiddle.

Thanks, so glad to learn more about Mr. Parrish. Pretty tune with that bluesy sound where he's probably looking around to see if anybody's watching! Nicely, delicately played.

I'm finally learning this tune, after hearing James Bryan's version. He plays a longer B part than you, but I'm assuming you're hearing Mr. Parrish. How did you come to have that recording?
