A great steady start..! You have everything in place there to build on, good timing and clean striking. It's very easy to try and build up the speed before the quality of sound is in place, thinking you need to sound bluegrassy like the pros at 90mph. It will be interesting to hear your progession to a seasoned player...... ;-)

The thought that I could be a "seasoned player" is a little daunting right now, but I'd like to think that it could happen! Meanwhile, I'm taking everyone's advice to heart and am valuing clean over fast. It also "feels" like the right way to learn . . .
