This is a great tune that sounds familiar but I don't recognize the name or remember where I may have heard it before. Is there another name? I can't find any information on the internet. If you know anything, please let me know. Thanks, Mike.

I'm unsure about any other names the song might have. I first heard it on an album by a band called the Old 78's

The tab is in Early American Classics for Banjo by Rob Mackillop : robmackillop.net/banjo-books-b...ackillop/
The book features some tabs to some great pieces from the 19th century, including some pretty complex (and beautiful ones). I recommend it.
I initially bought it, because i thought that I could learn fingerstyle banjo only by relying on tablature. But as I soon found out, the repertoire from this era is extremely vast and varied, so I have begun to train myself (somewhat) to read standard notation. I still tab the pieces that I enjoy for myself afterwards for reference.
