Marken er mejet (English: The field is mown) is a Danish folk melody supposedly from Randers during the medieval times. It is a dance celebrating the harvest in late summer period. In 1868 Mads Hansen added some text to the melody. This particular recording has a double banjo intermezzo of “john Hardy”. The dance starts off slowly progressing in velocity by each round.

Hej Axel. :-)
