This is an old song that was written by Josh Graves. I got to play this with him on several shows, when we'd open-up shows for him and Kenny Baker. I never laughed so hard in my life as some of the stories Josh told me of the old Flatt and Scruggs days. He has a son, Josh Graves Jr. that was a policeman down in Nashville, if you ever meet him, has he ever got some stories. We were playing in Covington, Ky., at the Candlelight Inn, and Josh Jr. was playing bass with us. Josh was ready to kick both of our rear ends he had me laughing so hard on stage.
One of the neatest things ever happened to me was Josh kicked off "Train45" in the key of D (essentually it was Ruben), I went to take my break, Josh came up in back of me and said "Oh, you sound just like Earl", what could ever make you feel better than that. When he came back in with that Dobro, hitting those Josh licks, you felt just like you were Earl. It was one of my top nights ever playing. I really miss Josh. Farley
