This is the first song on my (and Arnie Naiman's) very first album. It was written for my family's dog Winfield. Winfield left us two days ago, after a good long life. He was a wonderful dog and I dedicate this tune to him once again in his memory. If there is a heaven, I feel sorry for the squirrels there!

Soory to hear about your losing Winfield. It's a fine tune and a fine tribute.

I am sorry to hear about Winfield's passing. This is my very favourite tune off this album, pulls all the heartstrings and hooks you right in. Really beautiful and unique!

It's sooo not fair that they don't live as long as we do. :( I love this song, and I love that you've dedicated it to Winfield. Hang in there; losing a member of the family is one of the hardest things a person can go through.

Awesome tune. Got an old boy right now that getting close. It's a sad time. No matter how painful the loss -- You can't ever give up on loving dogs! They truly are a blessing.

I don't have a dog, but as a tribute to a friend, you nailed it sweetly.

Each time this fine tune comes around on Jukebox it reminds me of a long-lost bluetick 'coonhound I raised from a nine-week-old puppy; what fond memories!
