This Tune was written for Paul David Smith whom I had the great pleasure in meeting (and playing with) while we were both on staff at the Augusta Heritage Centre in 2006. It is played here with my bluegrass band The Foggy Hogtown Boys...I think it's a testament to these guys musicianship that a bunch of bluegrass boys can nail the old-time groove on this tune.

Great tune for a great guy. Mr Smith is a real gentleman and a heck of a musician. Well played.

Love this tune-I had the great pleasure of meeting Paul David a couple of weeks ago while visiting with Jimmy and Ada McCown in Mudlick Holler. We got to Paul Davids (he lives down the road from Jimmy) at around 4:30p and didn't leave until 10;30p that night! played sweet waltzes and some Snake Chapman tunes and songs with 2 fiddles and Jimmy on banjo and viola- and Ada holding down the guitar back up. I am sure Paul David would like this tune. The band sounds great! See you soon I hope Chris!

This is a favorite since I first played the Pigtown Fling CD years ago; now that I know who it's written for, I like it even more.
