I know this tune- of cause. It never appealed to me, but I thing that it changed when i heard your version. its great!. You play in Standard G Right??. I Rarely play in Open G myself. I thing that the "sound" is just to happy, HAPPY, H-A-P-P-Y to MY taste. I mainly choose to play tunes in Doubble C and Sawmill-tuning because i like the "mood" in such tunes ( when played on the banjo ). This shows that one can never be too sure about ones opinions about music and that is maybe the most beatyful aspect of music.

Lorix, I play June Apple in A, which is G tuned up a whole tone.  Makes it EVEN HAPPIER!!!  I can hardly stand it ;)
