Though maybe you can't tell, I worked pretty hard to get this recorded so I could have a song on my profile. I had to use head phones as a mic so to get it loud enough I had to attach them directly to the head of the banjo. It gives it an old timey sound, but I definitely need to get a better mic. I also planned to sing to the song, but found recording it cleanly hard enough. This is the compilation of 2 and 1/2 weeks playing the banjo. Enjoy!

You did a nice job on this song. Keep practicing, I can tell you are doing really well!  The headphone mic sounds good, did you also have to install software to record?   Marsha

Thanks for the nice comment. I did have to install the Audacity software.  I started out trying to use Sound Recorder, but I had a hard time getting the file into the correct format.

Thanks again everyone.  I'm working on a bunch of songs right now and they haven't come together as fast, because I'm working on more than one.  I'm getting close on Jingle Bells.  Its really nice to have all the support from the great folks here at BHO.

Good Morning 10gauge,

I just tried to contact you via your blog on the Aeolian Harp?

when I came back to "Amazing Grace" I saw that I could leave a comment

here. Your "Amazing Grace" is really nice and I would like to learn it. Is there

a way that I could get a tab of your version? I am just beginning and certainly don't

have an "ear" sufficient to pick it up by my self. Thank you for any help you

can afford.

Have A Blessed Day,

cjb08

Sounds great. Did you play this on your Helix? If not do you have any recordings of the Helix?
