I did not really intend to be so thumpy - I recorded this to low so I amplified the recording in audacity. So it picked up the thump pretty good. I will be careful to record correctly next time.  What's done is done.

Hey Girl,

Thanks for the kind words..I enjoyed your arr. as well..Yeah , I could not find a melodic banjo or even a decent fiddle tune rendition of "foldin down the sheets" SO, I got it from none other than Ken P...LOL.He had a  better melody of all the fiddle midi files..Yeah , Im new to this digital recording also..Its a pain aint it?...LOL

This sounds very natural. If everyone recorded the same way as everyone else, we would lose alot of our natural music. This is beautiful, as is. Thank you for posting it.

VERY artistic Christine. You have completly assimilated this tune . . . or maybe it is the OTHER way around! I have downloaded it and it is going on one of my banjo mix CDs. I really like how you threw in accents on the upbeats here and there.

Yep I tell you I was sure it was a mistake but I have two tunes in the top 100. Also Road to Boston. Not sure I belong there but they are obscure tunes...so I am pretty sure that's why they landed there. Mistake or not makes me feel real good that I can get in that arena. Couldn't do it without the supportive people and Billy Mathews that have gotten me this far, so they deserve the Gold Star! Thanks for noticing, you are so wonderful.

While I love the clawhammer banjo for it's happy side I am also learning to appreciate more and more it's mournful and brooding voice. I really enjoyed this tune played as you did and I hope to try it myself someday.
