Back in the late Seventies, I worked for the company that manufactured Hamilton music stands. The president of the company knew that I played banjo, and one day he asked me if I played any "serious music". I wanted to tell him that was the stupidest question I'd ever been asked, but he was a good guy and also my boss, so I just said I'm serious as a heart attack about what I do with a banjo.
