I'm thinking on a lighter weight banjo. I can't seem to find any actual owner reviews on this model banjo. Every review I have found is mostly cut and pasted from the manufacturer. Is there anyone on the forum that has actually bought this model that will post their review ? There are no shops close to me that has this model in stock where I can go and pick one.

I do not own one but i have had the opportunity to play one. I really liked it. I think it might have a slightly shorter scale length? Regardless, the neck felt really good and some tough positions to stretch for seemed much easier to do. I really like the feel of gold tone necks though. The lighter weight was noticeable but i was also sitting down so i cant really speak to that. From a playability standpoint it definitely passes the test

We've sold quite a few of them here at Banjo Warehouse, which may partially be because Joe Mullins is our neighbor in southwest Ohio. Two of my students have them and have really enjoyed them. I've been really impressed with the tone for it being a hoop banjo. I made a video comparing it to a Grandee a few weeks ago.

I haven't bought one, but I played the one at Fifth String Music in Greenville, SC. I really liked it, and it is light. Goldtone also is coming out with an RB-100 copy that will also be a hoop tone ring banjo at a much lower price point.
